Technovanza: VJTI makes it to Limca Book of World Records.....
The
students of Mumbai's renowned Veermata Jijabai Technical Institute
(VJTI) have made it to the Limca Book of Records, 2013, for erecting a
Taj Mahal, a record-breaking 5100 rubik's cube used, at the Rubik's Cube
Mumbai Open Competition.
The event was part of Technovanza, a technical fest of VJTI, one of the
largest technofests in the country and the most awaited one, having a
footfall of around 15,000 visitors every year. The students working on
this brilliant manifestation of our country's pride (read The Taj Mahal)
worked straight for about more than 14 hours to achieve this
commendable feat. And believe me it is no mean task to work in sync with
10 other people, on 5000 Rubik's cubes, in the scorching heat of our
college's Quad, under a mere tent and making way for a record. But their
efforts paid off.
It was a visual treat and a prime attraction during the three days of the festival, to see one of world's wonders come alive in a matrix of rubik's cubes. Prior to this, the kids at VJTI had proved their mettle by creating life-like forms of famous personalities like Mahatma Gandhi, Sachin Tendulkar, Albert Einstein, Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam, Steve Jobs, etc using nothing else but Rubik's cubes. But, Technovanza appearing in the Limca Book of World Records has been a milestone in this creative journey.
The art looked brilliant and dazzled anyone and everyone that set their eyes upon it. It got coverage by prominent newspapers like Times of India, Hindustan Times, DNA, Maharashtra Times, Loksatta, Midday, Asian Age, Pudhari, Samna etc and also on newschannels like TV9, IBN Lokmat, Sahara Samay. The Rubik's Cube Art portraying Steve Jobs had received accolades from across the world including acknowledgement by The Wall Street Journal.
Cheers to the team who took Technovanza to the Limca Book of World Records! Kudos!

All The Best !!!
ALL THE BEST !!!!!!
The examination system, and the fact that instruction is treated mainly as a training for a livelihood, leads the young to regard knowledge from a purely utilitarian point of view as the road to money, not as the gateway to wisdom.

2. You Can Complete Your Sleep.
3. You Can See Your Teachers Being Bored Who Usually Bore You.

Hiii Frndz…
I stepped up in VJTI campus nearly 2 years ago by noein names of my diploma seniors Yazad, Puneet, Ruchi, Hemant and Sangle Sir( in-charge of direct 2nd yr admissions)
Starting with just 4 frndz on day 1 and Thnks to Rajat’s heroics the list of frndz I made in college has increased by atleast one person per day…(Over 700 currently)
Jumping to seniors
Flashback- 2010…Entered Prod. Dept and met Yazad on my first day in college and had a short talk abt college...After the discussion, I came to noe VJ is exactly the same college I always wished…I studied in…
Future: After 15 days from today when the results will be declared, we ppl will turn the senior most students in college…with lots of memories about all seniors…On the last day of college…Being in touch always will be a promise, but m not sure how many of them will catch up…I just hope We all stay in touch…
Present- Remembering the moments spend with seniors and a smile flashing here…yups…exactly as yours…reading below

Seen 2…Offered keys of bike for Enthusia work by the textile senior and I said I have to attend lecture…(Early days in college…abhi change ho gaya hu)…well every person in the hub remembers dat incident.
Publicity of Rangarwardhan in Seniors class by mistake…spending nearly half hour for a 5 mins announcement, brief discussion, GD kyat ha dunno, bt was fun!…which resulted in cancellation of their class test…Got a Treat!!!
Attempting Maths 3 re-exam with close frndz and seniors…cuming out of DEP-1…a few seconds stare at the supervisors ( M.tech ) and asking ppl…Next attempt kab hota hai…?
I remember a senior guy of comps…cumin out of viva in Quad and frndz gathered around him and asked…Kya hua.kaisa tha?bla bla bla…and he Kool-ly said “Unhone answers pata karne ki kafi koshish ki, but mein kuch nhi bola.”
Cad-B, Health juice, Trad show, Naturals, Only Paratha’s, Relax, Notes, Assignments file and Xerox, Canteen’s Vada Pav, Quad grps, Dept. T-shirt launch, Fests, Nite outs, Classic, Khalsa entrance, Library fun, college terrace, B’day cakes, Lecture bunks, Extra knowledge, guidance, Canteen ka Limbu paani, Test papers, Project details, Aarti and Nirmal centre, Jokes, Games, Pizza, Uno cards, Car racing, SAE, Prodology, Goa’s dream visit, Mini IV’s, Enthu matches, Gymkhana, ICT ka canteen, Exam section, Late fees, Comps girls, IT 6, Phoenix, Plaza, Chatai Pav bhaji, Marine drive and whatsoever…Miss u seniors in all above and many more activities…
Recent- Nirop was fun! Lots of affection we students have with the institutes and one fine day when u have to leave the bonding…it hurtz…Going back with the documentary and realizing that time passed so fast…Feels gr8 after receiving the honors from the principal…
ADVERTISE- We frndz, along with few juniors have decided to make a small film based on the life of an engineering student in VJTI, We would love to receive any kind of support and suggestion from your side…If anyone likes to be a part of our project…let us noe…contact me for further details…( If plan works well…we will begin the shoots soon and upcoming batch in VJ will get the chance to enjoy the movie soon after the admissions…
Remembering Production mass bunk for 10 days in last sem…was a complete fun…Thnks to support of proff. It went off well…Mukul and Co. Alibaug trip was awesum!...Looking forward to another trip in June end…
I will surely miss the time when I purchased anything, outside food or etc…stepped out of shop and said to the person at cash counter… “Ye bade log hai…paise inse lena”…and U all agreed…Paid the money with a smile…
Enjoying the cricket match in TV room with frndz shouting and cheering…VJTI hostels…D block…speechless!
Playing with Prod seniors in the Cricket match…VJ grounds… the game, followed by the drive at bandra bandstand…Doc’s Car…Yazad, Hemant and Gaurang…miss those days!
Nite-out at Marine drive will be all time favourite…Pranav, Ankit, Mukul…we will repeat it again in our 8th sem…The full on fun, food, jokes, walk at 2am.Queen’s necklace, midnite sea view, coffee, 4.30am Pav bhaji….Bas jyada hi senti ho gaya…Thnks to Giri and Mumbai Police for the amazing time…

Rangawardhan ( रंगवर्धन ) 2012
Rangawardhan ( रंगवर्धन ) 2012
Hiii Frndz…Rangawardhan is the Marathi fest of VJTI, it’s a part of the annual cultural fest Pratibimb.
Must Read- I agree that there are many spelling and grammer mistakes in any note I write…but abhi jyada dhyan se mat padho…and plzz co-operate.
Flashback- An year ago when it was my first year in VJTI, (diploma admitted). I participated in Ranga 11 and was chosen as the event head of Ekpatri (Monoact) along with my frnd Jaydev. It was a gr8 time working in the team…My first Experience in fest work…
This year I decided to be a part of Ranga again…I knew some people here and others abhi frnd ban gaye…It’s a Marathi fest and mostly all the members of the team are Maharashtrians…Odd man out…(Mayur tere Marathi jokes mujhe kabhi nahi samje, but still smiled bcoz everyone enjoyed) I many times felt of working sincerely for the Techno Infra rather than being in Ranga, but then kudos to all the members of the team for their love, which led me to opt out of Enthu and Techno work and focusing only on Pratibimb. (Prashant and Paja meine aisa nahi bola tum log ache nahi the…make a note…no hard feelings)
The best part of Rangawardhan is the team members. A very fun-loving, bindass, cool and calm Amol, Kasturi and Mayur are the best leaders I have seen till date…I always like to lead and the way A,K and M handled the situations hats off to them…Lots of things learned, but still can’t compete anyone above…My several good deeds would also never match their work…Perfect leaders selected…Praises!
I remember I asked Kasturi on fb that I would like to work in Ranga…and She asked me to help in the design work…Start- Well, dat’s the time I met up Nilesh… “Yaar tu ne akele hi sab kaam kiya and mujhe kuch hardwork hi nhi karna pada”…T-shirt Quotation drive with Sachin, Suraj, Nilesh and Kasturi was tiring but enjoyed a lot…Helping the junior girls in the sponsorship work was always a gr8 fun…Special Thnks to Sanju for the Sim card given to me…(Dost ho toh Sanjiwani jaise) Lunch break mein desk lagake selling t-shirts in Quad…was so boring…but overall acha response mila…Enjoyed writing my name in the sales…Ghosh!...Prasanna I sold more than 28 t-shirts…deal yaad hai na?
R-wall is very special to Ranga team…Though I couldn’t be a part of the Vaishnavi’s group…I tried to collect some pics and help the members…The hardwork behind the scenes and events is something only a team member understands, and is worth tons of praises!
By Mid Jan, I was rather confused ki Ranga Certi pe mera post kya likha hoga, I was never in the core committee, so chances of any post were negligible…but I always expected a Prati I card…When even that didn’t happen…I decided to stop helping the team…( Chan se jo tute koi sapna, jag suna suna lage) But after a week mood change ho gaya and was back in Quad with Ranga team and asked for any work if needed, Amol asked me to join the Publicity team and that’s my fav. work in any fest…Internal Publicity with Civil girls was damn exciting…I never spoke in Marathi for any announcement, but then the team was awesum…Audi was always full…Enjoyed the auditions…Cheers to the success…!
After spending the quality time in various activities of Ranga, it felt like I did a gr8 job, but frankly speaking, everyone were best…and in comparison with any active member my contribution was very less, irrespective of the job assigned, everyone helped each other and decision was taken after a brainstorming session with the seniors…which I guess is possible only in Rangawardhan.
(((Note: Short note likh raha hu…response acha mila toh will think of modifying the same with some incidents and personal experiences)))
Kawadsa team rocks! I wish I was a part of the gang…
Least but not the last, thanks to all my frndz or say Rangawardhan team for the best time I had, every moment cherished and tons of love and well wishes to everyone…I always keep enjoying and if by chance anyone is upset bcoz of my weird jokes and tricks…srry for dat…Plzz forgive me…Poorva Bonde...senti mat hona…its okay. And Lastly All the best for the next Rangawardhan team…Expectations always high! As Vikram promised to look after sponsorship this year…I promise to help everyone with the publicity in 2013 and take Ranga to the next level…!
EST aa rahi hai and padhna hai mujhe, so signing off on a very very high note…

An idea can ignite millions of minds...
An idea can ignite millions of minds
An idea can ignite millions of minds
Our
parents tell us about caste, creed and religion. So we fight, we crib,
we try to put people down. We are possessed by jealousy, the desire to
do better than others, because that is what we have been taught at home.
Survival of the fittest.
What we realize very much later in life is that, there is a much bigger world outside, this world is bigger than our locality, city, state and our country. We see that there are people out there in the world, who with their new ideas, hard work and perseverence, strive to make the world a better place to live. They do their bit by doing what they do best. It may be by starting up new business. thus creating employment, by starting green initiatives, by taking a stand against curruption and so much more. These are the people who co-create the world we live in.
So if you have in idea and always wanted to do something about it, get up and do it. Let the restlessness in you never die, keep the spark alive, for one spark can ignite millions of minds.
